Saturday Workshops
1-2:30pm / Follower´s Technique I
This workshop is a must for all followers and leaders. Focusing on the six basic elements of walking, cruzada, forward ochos, back ochos, molinete and boleo followers will come away with tools to perfect their technique while leader gain greater understanding of the structure of the dance. Christy makes this workshop fun with individual and partner exercises. Highly recommended as a prerequisit for the workshops ahead...don´t miss it!
2:30-4pm / Secrets of Improvisation and Embellishments
Taking the basic elements covered in the "Follower´s Technique I" Christy & Darren reveal their secrets for linking these elements together and building upon that structure to form a truly improvised dance. While leaders focus on this new approach to their dance followers will have the perfect opportunity to fine tune the technique of these elements plus some great embellishments!
4-5:30pm / Milonga NOW!!!
If you´ve been sitting out those tandas of Milonga or just want to jump start a new, easy and fun approach to dancing Milonga this is the workshop for you. Christy & Darren get you dancing Milonga NOW!!!!
Sunday Workshops
1-2:30pm / Follower´s Technique II
Building upon the technique covered in the "Follower´s Technique I" Christy will add the next level of elements including, barridas, sacadas, colgadas, volcadas, enganches, ganchos, plus embellishments! Great way to prepare yourself for the workshops ahead. Leaders encouraged to attend!
2:30-4pm / Dynamic Moves
Enganches, Sacadas & Volcadas can give your dance dynamic range and make it fun and exciting for you and your partner. Christy & Darren share with you their technique for making these moves work like magic!
4-5:30pm / Dancing to Pugliese
For Christy & Darren dancing with Pugliese (and Color Tango!) brings out their style of dancing with dramatic movements from pauses in carpa to volcadas with beautiful embellishments. If you love Pugliese and want to be challenged you´ll love this workshops.
